The history of the skull sqadron is ok....but to topic, what are your thoughts of the possible live action movie. anyone worried that it will be ruined? Will the casting be any good?
Will they make it look too much like Battlestar?

I think we are all worried that it might get ruined. But that's every movie. I hope that they don't borrow from Battlestar, its fine but its not Robotech. We'll see.

The LAM is the scariest concept i have ever come across. So much potential to be huge across the board. So much potential to be a massive effects flop. I'm finding myself worried about the look of the film ALMOST as much as the story they go after. I have never been so worried about a movie in my life and this is gonna kill me.
My wish list? I hope they stay true to the story as much as they can and while new designs are inevitable i hope they arn't extreme. This show doesn't need to be reinvented.
Nor do I think they really need to change the dates of events to match today. This is an alternate world, besides after the SDF-1 rebuild the advances in tech around the world quickly surpass us today. Even in 2009 in the cartoon they were more advance then us so why do we need to pull the time line forward at all. Sounds like Transformers Envy to me..

It would be nice if Robotech Live Action held its ground by keeping its original style. I could understand Transformers, cars, new models, advertisement. XMEN, you couldn't really pull off the original tights too well, at least in my opinion.
Robotech is classic though, don't change it WB!

Yeah i'm sure the opportunity to advertise their new Camero by haveing it star in a movie like that was a big draw for Chevy.
Am i being too nostalgic by wanting them to keep the designs close to the original or what? Remember the good old days when you could make a hit movie with out haveing to have commercials built into the film?
"Well Roy, I never could have pulled off that stunt in my racer against your Demo pilots if i hadn't had a refreshing drink of Red Bullâ„¢ to boost my energy!"
"Inside Jasons favorite Veritech toy is something familiar, If you don't think so consider this. When Lynn-Minmei goes on stage and is relying on her mic to reach her thousands of adoreing fans there is only one battery she trusts. A Copper Topâ„¢."
"Always the real thing Spacy-Colaâ„¢ A division of The Coca-Cola companyâ„¢."
PS it's a bit off topic but to you Cali-guys I am in Upstate NY near Albany and i just saw a commercial on TV telling people to move to California.
Vacations i am used to but to live, this is a new approach i've not seen before.
Be careful, Jobs are scarse out here and people may just come.

They might just go back when they see the high cost of living. That's what they don't mention in the commercials.
I wonder if they will incorporate an American-Idol-esque theme into the Live Action film. Remember its miss macross, but they have like American Idol. GOD I hope not, nevermind please WB forget that idea.
Funny though, Miss Macross was the American Idol of Robotech.

I don't know if anyone else has seen them already and i don't know if the guy is on the level but there is a link on YouTube of Robotech Live Action screen tests for aircraft. They arn't Robotech universe and the poster says his company had made a bid to do the film but didn't get picked up. They are interesting to watch but i was wondering what you guys thought about this? True or False?
I won't put the video here but this is the link.
any feed back?
