Any regarding the toys, why would be believe Toynami over Mckeevie? Afterall, Mckeevie's never steered us wrong before.
I'm not taking any sides until Mav chimes in and sets us all straight. Now HE'S someone who's never steered us wrong!
Good point Gubaba. Afterall, he always give concrete proof along with his statement.
Sorry about all the typos in my previous post - just got back from work.

HMMMM... THEY DID SAY IT WILL TAKE PLACE IN BETWEEN SOUTHERN CROSS AND MOSPEADA. CAN IT TECHNICALLY BE CALLED A SERIES IF IT BECOMES PART OF ONE?I'll ask the question here since I was un-liked from HG's facebook page and my question/comment apparently deleted.
Is the new animation project now a series?
From the therealmtoys.com/wordpressorg/17508/anim...lowdown-on-robotech/ write up:
* A new, as-yet untitled animated series,...
On their facebook, Kevin is pointing to this review as "a good write up of the Anime Expo Robotech Panel". Its apparently an inaccurate article unless they changed their minds because IIRC Tommy said this project wouldn't be a series.
Perhaps the more mins of animation is a reference to serializing it. If that's the case, hopefully a story intended to be a one-shot doesn't get messy stretched out over however many episodes.
Kevin also linked to this review on his blog robotechnews.blogspot.com/2011/07/anime-...l-write-up-from.html except there he called it a "great writeup". On his blog he has this comment, "Our critics cant even quote us correctly...", which is an interesting quote since "series" is apparently an inaccurate description. I don't recall them ever calling it one on the AX videos, or anywhere else, have they? Thanks Darkwater, for pointing that out over @ MW.
OK. THIS IS TWICE YOU POSTED COMMENTS OF HIS IN JUST A FEW DAYS. SO FAR SOME OF THE AX REVIEW WAS WRONG.Which brings up something else very interesting, also over @ MW Jasonc posted "...Toynami says that the toys haven't been made yet,...". www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showt...ew=findpost&p=917667
AND IF YOU WANT TO SOURCE SOMEONE AT LEAST MAKE IT RELIABLE.
IS THERE A LINK, DATE OR PERSON IN REFERENCE TO WHERE THE TOYNAMI INFO CAME FROM? OR HAS THE PAGE HAS SINCE THEN VANISH? HE'S GIVEN INFO BEFORE AND A LOT OF IT BEEN WRONG.
CAN YOU DOUBLE CHECK THE VALIDITY OF THE SOURCE RTSURFER. IT'S NOT YOUR STYLE TO JUST PICK RANDOM COMMENTS AS SOURCE.
I MEAN, THERE IS A USER IN MW WHO WORKS FOR TOYNAMI AND WHO ALSO HAS HIS OWN TWITTER AND NOT HARD TO PM OR TWEET. THERE'S A TOYNAMI PAGE AND TOYNAMI FACEBOOK AS WELL. SO... WHERE IS THIS TOYNAMI SOURCE? WAS IT MADE LAST YEAR? THIS YEAR? THESE FEW DAYS?
ALSO... WHAT TOYS ARE NOT MADE YET.
THE COMMENT IS VERY VAGUE.

Would you consider Codename: Robotech a series? By this logic shouldn't it have become part of one?HMMMM... THEY DID SAY IT WILL TAKE PLACE IN BETWEEN SOUTHERN CROSS AND MOSPEADA. CAN IT TECHNICALLY BE CALLED A SERIES IF IT BECOMES PART OF ONE?
^Memo, which parts of Jasonc's AX review were wrong? Sure he included embellishments and opinion but wasn't his AX report and followup essentially correct?
I heard about this a couple of days ago and Jasonc makes the claim at MW, considering how big a deal Kevin made out of it at AX and on his blog got me wondering if it just might be true. I figured if his claim was reposted here we might get some answers one way or the other.
I don't intend to go out of my way to prove or disprove it, one way or the other. I have left an inquiry with Toynami but so far it is unanswered. If you are so concerned about its validity why don't you check into it, don't you know people at both HG and Toynami? BTW, since when do you care about sources and details anyway, you've started questionable threads?
It would be easy for Kevin to resolve this, release a shipping invoice, notice, memo or some other document establishing that the light artillery battlepods were made, left the factory, and are now sitting in that cargo container on a dock in China.

IF HG FINDS A WAY TO MAKE IT AND SAY IT'S PART OF THE SERIES.. MAYBE.Would you consider Codename: Robotech a series? By this logic shouldn't it have become part of one?
OPINION... THEN WE CAN JUST LEAVE IT AT THAT THEN THAT HIS COMMENTS ARE MERE OPINIONS.^Memo, which parts of Jasonc's AX review were wrong? Sure he included embellishments and opinion but wasn't his AX report and followup essentially correct?
OK. NO BIG DEAL SINCE IT'S JUST AN OPINION.I heard about this a couple of days ago and Jasonc makes the claim at MW, considering how big a deal Kevin made out of it at AX and on his blog got me wondering if it just might be true. I figured if his claim was reposted here we might get some answers one way or the other.
ALREADY DID. BOTH TOYNAMI AND HG. STILL WAITING.I don't intend to go out of my way to prove or disprove it, one way or the other. I have left an inquiry with Toynami but so far it is unanswered. If you are so concerned about its validity why don't you check into it, don't you know people at both HG and Toynami?
I ALWAYS STATE MY OPINION ON THE THREADS. I KNOW YOU CAN DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN ARTICLES AND MY OPINIONS.BTW, since when do you care about sources and details anyway, you've started questionable threads?
I THINK THAT'S A HG NEED TO KNOW THING... BUT WOULD NOT HURT TO ASK.It would be easy for Kevin to resolve this, release a shipping invoice, notice, memo or some other document establishing that the light artillery battlepods were made, left the factory, and are now sitting in that cargo container on a dock in China.

I wonder if HG will recycle the original music for this animated feature in order to keep costs low... they can always ask Michael to do a proper overdub of the original sentinels soundtrack and call it a day
