I consider MF as a pure fan service. It is like Far Cry 1 and Far Cry 2 games. On the one hand, the title suggest they are connected, but basically extremely different.

Just like in the 'Destroid's Last Dance' thread, I have to ask: If you don't like it, why comment on it?

I dunno, I find Nikolay116's view refreshing, since it seems like the biggest criticism Robotech fans level at Frontier is that it's just a rehash of the original.Nikolay116 wrote:

Given those tw extremes of "It's exactly the same" and "it's completely different," I think the latter is more accurate than the former.

Well, since Pizza's questions seem only to fall into two camps (those that are easily answered, and those that are unanswerable), it's going to be quite a short thread if we only stick to answering him.Sure, Gubaba, but the original point of the thread was to get some answers about MacF, not to debate the merits of it.
So then, here's a question for you to aid in understanding the show:
Sheryl Nome - a GREAT anime character, or THE GREATEST anime character?

I'LL BITESheryl Nome - a GREAT anime character, or THE GREATEST anime character?
I DID NOT LIKE HER. ACTUALLY STILL DON'T. GOOD CHARACTER FOR MACROSS BUT DID NOT LIKE THE IDOL PART SHE WAS THRUST INTO THE STORY. SO I CAN SEE HOW IT WORK FOR ALTO ON THAT PART. BUT THE CHEMISTRY OF BOTH WAS FUN. I DON'T THINK SHE COULD HOLD UP ON HER OWN.
I LIKE MORE OF THE EXAMPLE OF LYNN MINMAY WHO WE SAW GROW AND EXPAND AS BECOMING AN IDOL. I GUESS SUCKER FOR CINDERELLA STORY'S.
AS ONE OF THE GREATEST FEMALE CHARACTERS? YOU MEAN MACROSS? IF SO, NO. I THINK THERE ARE OTHER BETTER MOVING CHARACTERS.
MILIA COMES TO MIND. SUCKER FOR TOUGH GIRLS. EVEN GRACE O'CONNOR IS A GREAT CHARACTER WITH MYSTERY AND INTENT. LIKE WHAT SHE HAS NEXT UP HER SLEEVE TO GET WHAT SHE WANT'S.

Sorry, G, but she's got some annoying tendencies that do grate on my nerves.
