I still have the soundtrack and listen to it quite often. The battle scores are great.

Ni-hao nyang!

Indeed!
Yoko Kanno's score is, at least in my opinion, on par with any Hollywood score produced in recent memory, even Hans Zimmer's stuff for 'The Dark Knight'.
Hell, even some of the JPop in the soundtracks has grown on me, as the songs are coreographed beautifully with the action in the show.

Glad atleast one believes me,for those watching me with skeptical attude, here is the proof I got interested in Macross last June
www.robotech.com/community/forum/read.php?id=1992944&forumid=24
Yes I did go kind of bonkers but atleast I kept true and I never went back to correct a typo because somewhere I accidently posted I watched Frontier 3 times, when it was my 2nd time (1st when I got it,2nd when my sister watched it and liked it) and this is my 3rd time.
One thing that I like in a background is Hikaru's VF-1 on top of the school and was neat how they made the paint scheme of the one he used in DYRL?
I think "Heart and Soul" song from M7 would have been a nice song to use in Frontier, maybe they did but did not recognize it.
When I wake up I will catch up more on Frontier before Kitchen Nightmares with Chef Ramsey. That guy is awesome!
And that Bobby song cracked me up,first I heard it.

I can't say how many times I've watched Frontier... I've lost count.

I wouldn't be surprised if the paint scheme was from DYRL. They used the DYRL version of Gorg Bodolzaa's fortress for the intro scenes, so it's possible.

I'm not so much of a fan of Mac7, to be honest. I never did get into the series all that much.
Now, that being said, I have to admit that I don't know the song 'Heart and Soul'. Sorry.
And that Bobby song cracked me up,first I heard it.
Glad you liked it!

I really did not know Macross did spoofs or humor like that since Exedore tried to dance and sing the Minmei song "stage fright".
Believe it or not it was my sister who made me realize I should not bag Macross because of how Bobby is and it made me realize I can see thru most weirdness.
But here is an example of how I reacted when I learned about Bobby (and Lancer way back then)
Warning:Might make you laugh out of your chair or make folks dislike me more!
That being said,Gee now I finally remember what I wanted to ask.You remember the original pilot of the VF-25? Well before he went into Frontier he ejected the "strike armor" before persueing that vajra and I think another time someone else ejected it again,Well what I was wondering why do they keep doing that? I think the obvious answer would be that the gravity but curiosity made me think it was for show because as criticle things are, they should not eject armor unless damaged or out of missles.

Here's another theory for you.
First, the pilot's name is Gilliam.
Now, the probable reason for Gilliam ejecting the Super packs was for aerodynamic control, more than anything else.
Let's fast-forward to antoher episode, where Alto Saotome was assigned to escort Sheryl Nome to Gallia 4, so she could perform a show for the Zentradi forces stationed there.
Remember that, before atmospheric entry, Alto popped his Super packs and fold booster.
The reason is pretty simple. Two of the biggest sections of the VF-25's super packs sit on the wings. If a plane's going into an atmosphere, they want their wings to provide as much lift as possible. With those huge boosters on the wings, taking up a large amount of space, I would think the VF-25 would be a real pain to fly in an atmospheric situation.
Now, you ask, 'Why didn't Ozma drop his Armored Packs when he showed up in episode one?'
Well, he came up from SMS's launch bays in gerwalk mode, which negated the need for clear wing structures. Gilliam entered the island from above, through the dome, so he'd need some aerodynamic capability to keep from falling like a rock.
How's that?

I guess I thot wrong on the strike armor because I thot older mechas could change while keeping strike armor on the newer ones had the same ability.
Sheesh!
Every time I wake up to catch up on animes and games I get voicemails telling me I need to work extra hours and go in early.Sometimes I hate being a nightworker.

You would be correct in assuming that all Valkyries can switch modes while equipped with Super Packs. But, there's something else to remember.
Most of the earlier valks (VF-1, VF-11, etc.) had their boosters on the back of the plane, as well as on the back of the Battroid mode.
The VF-25 differed in this respect, mounting the boosters on the wings.
Now, if Gilliam had wanted to, he could've kept the Super Packs, bbut he was in a rush to catch up to the invading Vajra, which had entered the Frontier island. And, since fighter-mode is his fastest mode of travel, he was thinking of speed more than anything else.
If he hadn't been so concerned with speed, he might have flipped over to Gerwalk mode, and simply skated his way to the surface of the island.
Alas, Gilliam passed away valliantly, opening the path for our hero, Alto.

And I almost forgot (because of suspicion of others on my current solo crusade) tell Seto I said thanks for providing you info on this thread.I still have his email of which fan subs work best,I know he calls them "bootlegs" but thats all we got.
Atleast when he gets unbanned from here he will no longer worry about when he said I was "Luke Skywalker" of Robotech and he was "Darth Vader" of Macross and I would convert him in the end and cause him to throw Kawamori down the Death Star pit.He did say that not long ago.He can be funny thats for sure.
But I too am done with the fan war and want to try to enjoy both Macross and Robotech.

Here is the vid-song I found, some of the images look goofy and one guy with a guitar and glasses looks almost like Bardok from DBZ.
I still think this song could have been added to Frontier too
Now I am almost glad I never peeked into M7 after all.Good anime graphics but people flying with guitars is enuf to turn me away.
