and heres me thinking the whole concept of Purist in the RT fandom was meant to be a derogitory term against those who loved the OSM and hated 'Robotech'. Now I am confused.

robotech purist. I never that before. Only way some one can be robotech is not like anything macross the in rt universe and perfer the original works. A rt purist would push for original mecha to be use in squeals. There is one thing I like alot about the rt t.v. series is that in all three saga that through diplomacy enemies becomes friends and allies. I love the idea of villains turning good.

ONE THING THAT'S BETTER IS THAT MACROSS HAS A LOT OF TOYS.

Here's a reason:

Macross fans.

In my experience, they're typically elitist monsters. I got so turned off by their attacks on me for liking Robotech, that I will now never support a Macross-related (Japanese anime) product. Never ever.
