I hear you, but let me explain.

From Overdrive I can get the Tomahawk and the VF-25f 1/100 for $155 shipped. Whereas everywere else(amazon.com, bbts, etc.) I will have to pay up to and possibly over $250.00 for the two(amazon for the tomahawk is at 199.00 and the VF-25 1/100 is at $53.00. Both prices are without shiping)

On to the Powersuits and Zentraedi Pods. Lets say I get the suit(s) for $30-60, then I want the Pods. Normally they sell for anywhere from $50.00 to $200.00(most Ive seen from online retailers have been in the $90.00 and up area. Then cost varies on what exactly are you getting or whats available, Matchbox or Playmates.), depending on condition. Either way I go its not a missed oppty. I can get either or. I just would prefer to get the Destroid first.

So to recap:
Tomahawk and VF-25F= $156(Shipped)

Power Armor, Battlepod and Officer's Pod= $180+(not including shipping)

Yeah I see what you mean. I suppose if you are looking for Box and all you'll pay a pretty penny... Then again those are on the much higher end too... I mean you can find pretty good deals on even those items if you catch it at the right time. I guess for me the box is nice to have but not necessary. I just picked up a Powersuit for $15 shipped. I also picked me up another Matchbox SDF-1 for $60 complete without a box. So deals are around to be had. I have my eye on a few other things too. I really need to take some current pics of my shelf.. I'm really running out of room on the main one for stuff.

Thanks MEMO. Yeah I've always been of the opinion that a collection should be displayed.. Though I understand completely why you do.

Now there are some thinks that I keep stored away but that's more because of space concerns. I keep things like my original Comico Comic "Bristol boards" and items like that stored. Now the room they are in have Solar screens and a UV tint on the windows to keep UV light damage to a minimum.

I try to find the best "loose" examples for my collection. I'll usually buy a place holder until I find the perfect piece to replace it. A good example would be the 7 inch "Tomahawk" on the top shelf to the left.. Well that's the most perfect example of a Matchbox Robotech issue I have found. Its has absolutely no play wear the joints are perfect, and there are No decals on it at all..
The four 7" inch Raidar X figures on the Bottom shelves are a combination. The outer two are original Matchbox Robotech issue and the inner two are the EcoSquad issue. The only thing I'm missing there is an original "Radar" for the one on the far left.

My three Scott Bernard figures are Card fresh... Yeah I know I sacrificed three cards just so I could display them... BUT.. I do still have a Carded Scott figure..

I've got more stuff but I really need to rearrange my collection room. Now that's gonna be a big job..

MGREXX

Sounds like a nice collection you got... try to post some pics when you get a chance...

Today I got in the Blue and Green 1:55 Gakken Alpha "double changers" with guns... they're in great shape.. I was amazed at how good they look.

I'm hoping by weeks end to received a nice Robotech lot I purchased... :woohoo: I'ts got a Battlepod, Invid Shock Trooper, 3 3/4 figures and 6 inch figures, another MAC II to add to the 8 I already have... and a few other things.... I'm so excited... I can't wait. I'll get some pics up when I get that lot and of my two Alphas.
