heres an update on the strike cannon for the mpc vf-1s

Was that double strike cannon part of the MPC armor? It looks nice on the MPC Roy VF-1Sbecause.I never got the chance to get a MPC armor pack and the ones I seen on Ebay are way too expensive and they already been opened.

I like the speed strike armor pack that came with my Robotech Stealth Veritech VF-1S (I own 2) and I opened one and applied stickers.I cant tell whether to put it next to my Enterprise or Voltron MPC.

I got some new additions to my list,
MPC Ben Dixon #9526 brand new unopened
Blue and Green MPC Betas

I still envy those who has the SDF-1 and I would be able to brag that I got the crown jewel of the collection too if my little brother did not break mine back in 1988.

my appendix wazs used off of ebay. the cannon was molded by nightmareb4macross of the macrossworld boards. I molded the base of the missile launcher of the appendix thruster. when the mold was complete and ready to dry I simply added on the cannon. no w I have to find the right high gloss paint.

Yeah, that’s pretty cool BlackConvoy. Nice work on mating the two together. Once it’s painted you probably won’t be able to tell the difference.

I’m probably one of the fortunate ones that still have his original SDF-1… though it has its issues. I still need to find a Daedalus for it, sadly the original was lost somewhere… and one of the rail guns got broken years ago during a move…. I’m still pretty proud of it.. The white is still white and hasn’t yellowed like some I’ve seen.

I’ve got a few new additions to my collection… I finally got around to getting some MPC stuff. I just got in Ben’s VF-1A and Rook’s VFA-6Z Alpha. I got them cause it was a pretty good deal so I couldn’t pass it up. Guess now I’m gonna have to start getting more of them…. I definitely want some Betas too.

i hear ya. im waiting to see the results on the reissued maia alpha first before I move forward on getting any other alphas. Im planning on the marcus rush super shadow fighter and his beta to compliment.

Here is the strike cannon painted. I dont like how it came out so Ill be removing it, but the color is a fairtly decent match. I propped it on the Appendix-A, and on to the YF-1R for a more vivid blend of color. What do you guys think?

DONT KNOW, BUT THE LIGHT GIVING IT A KINDA PINK COLOR

Not bad at all... I mean if you give it a nice dark wash it will put some nice contrast on it like the rest of the booster... If you do it just right it will also darken up the paint over all and should blend in pretty nicely.

Though... One might consider that there could be some paint variation between the cannon and booster in reality considering they would have been built separately before being attached.

I am curious though.... What exactly didn't you like about how it turned out?
