Thank you for all your support for many years. I had a joy designing many of Robotech products. I'm moving onto my own sculpture designs, mainly for Transformers accessories. Please look for my facebook group MAIDEN JAPAN Fan Club.

Is Toynami trying to commit suicide or something...?

Daisuke is a great guy, and a genius designer.

If they ABSOLUTELY HAD to let someone at Toynami go...why get rid of the most talented member...?

Seriously, they had him sculpting destroids? They haven't even released his last Robotech/Macross sculpt, the Officer's Battlepod, which comes on the heals of a Battlepod variant that took like six months to ship to N Amer.
Not that it really matters as his designs for Toynami apparently end up as low quality, overpriced products that don't sell very well.
How much sculpting is he doing for their other toy/mpc lines? As for the Robotech/Macross lines, it almost seems like they have been trying to get out of releasing them for a while so this may just speed up the process.
He is a talented sculptor, I'm sure he will do well whomever he works for, including himself.

He was responsible over the MPC Beta's, The 1/100's, Vynils, MPC Voltron, etc. Im confident in his abilities on smaller scale stuff, as he's posted a lot of rework on TF Classics toys. Toynami probably couldnt afford him anylonger. I do think there was a huge disconnect between his Macross designs and what HG was willing to pay for, given his Daisuke's work on MPC Voltron, and the MPC Beta's. Best of luck to him in future endeavors. Hopefully Yamato or Bandai enlist him to work on 1/100 enemy mechs or Valks. Perhaps his perspective and work can go towards a better Legioss?

Bummer, I am a HUGE destroid fan. I may be one of the few out there. I love the Yamato Macross destroids. Pricey, but very high quality. I would love to see more Destroids get released.

It has been nothing but tumble weeds from Toynami as far as RT toys...

Been hoping for a re-release of the 1/100 VF-1J line.
