Second... the stuff you posted from Mospeada is not destroids, or even destroid-related.

They were plenty useful... they just suffered from the same flaw as the brown VF-1A's... lack of plot armor.Destroids were as useful as a screen door on a submarine.Oh wait! I remember that they served one useful purpose,Rick used one to round up renegade UNARMED Zentradis that was making a mess in one episode. So I guess they are not so useless after all.

First... I'm going to mail you the contents of the barf bag I had to use when I saw those atrocious Sentinels destroid designs.
I never received it, you barf contents seemingly being being send to another location ....
Seriously though, atleast the Sentinel Destroids were an honest attempt for original Robotech designs aesthestics as opposed of re-using SDFM materials, which are in my books, better than nothing.

Ehhem, this is RT Hardcore right, so in greater scheme of things, the Tiger, Condor & even Bioroid Interceptor can be considered as 3rd generation mecha whose lineage definitely Destroid in origin.

AKA Cannon Fodder syndrome ... suffered by SCA myriad fighters, APCs & numerous Battloids, or 3rd gen Alpha greenies.

But by that reasoning(as in hardcore), the Condor isn't a Destroid, but a Veritech fighter/bomber(VF-5) in the vane of the Beta that replaces it as the Alpha's linkable tactical counterpart.
