I have heard that footage of TSC was shown with vastly improved cell shading for the CGI to give it a more animated look. Can anyone confirm this or post an image or clip?

YES. BUT IT WAS REUSED ANIMATION THAT DID NOT MAKE IT INTO OR CUT FROM SHADOW CHRONICLES.

CG HAS IMPROVED SINCE ITS REALESE AND HG WAS ALREADY LETTING FANS KNOW WHAT WAS COMING. CELL HSADING WAS ABSENT IN THE ORIGINAL MOVIE... SOMETHING THAT WAS GOING TO CHANGE WITH SHADOW RISING.

FORGOT.. ONE GOOD CELL SHADING I SAW WAS WHEN THE ALPHA WAS ABOUT TO SHOOT OFF INTO FIGHT THE INVID. MARCUS. NOW THAT WAS NICE.

AND YES, I SAW THE CLIPS AND I AM NOT SURE I HAVE THE IMAGE. I THINK ITS ON YOUTUBE. CHECK THE PMX ROBOTECH PANEL THAT I POSTED IN ROBOTECH IMAGES FORUM. NOT SURE IF THEY SHOWED IT AT THAT PANEL LAST YEAR.

Looked on youtube and haven't found anything.

I don't know that the CG was improved, all they did was replace the Alpha in the background of the scene where Marcus climbs down the ladder with a cell shaded version.

Given a choice between the two I think I would prefer the original look.
