Halo is getting an anime look, in the form of Halo Legends, an animated anthology of short stories made by various studios:

Yeah, looks pretty promising. I think that the anthology approach is a nice way to showcase various interpretations and spinoff stories from different artists, so that audiences can sample the variety.

I remember there was a TV showcase series called "CBS Summer Playhouse" that featured various TV pilot episodes, in order to gauge which would be a hit with audiences. It would be cool to see that kind of thing for animation too.

These are some posters for the project from each of the studios working on it. Some are just fine! We expected a flying mech suit. What we didn't expect was a poster showing a Spartan trying to punch a monster from Spirited Away's bathhouse in the stomach. Or whatever the hell's going on in that one with the teddy bear and field of flowers.

hmm an honest review of what I've seen? The animation is really good, even the CG *shocker* However I'm still not wild about the human designs, especially at the beginning scene, were all those guys clones? The brutes still look weird, the grunts are perfect.. still waiting for the elites, especially arbiter ;]

did this clip get my attention? Yes it did, and did it keep me interested? Yes again.
That being said, I'll have to see more before I can make a final decision, but so far I think it has potential or maybe that's just my inner halo fangirl talking.

KNEW ABOUT THIS A FEW YEARS BACK. IT WAS ON SOME CG MAGAZINE ARTICLE. OR THE MAGAZINE FORUMS. SURE TOOK FOR DEVELOPMENT TO GET OUT FINALLY WITH SOMETHING CONCRETE.

NOT SURE. BUT MICROSOFT HAD MANY IDEAS BACK THEN. THE SCORE REMINDS ME OF THE ROBOTECH SHADOW CHRONICLES TRAILERS AT THE CONS. AND I AGREE WITH SOME ABOUT THE CHARACTERS. THEY JUST TO DULL. THEY NEED MORE BODY MOVEMENT TO MAKE UP FOR WHAT IS HIDDEN BEHIND THE VISOR.

I THINK IT WILL BE AGREAT ANIME. I AM CURIOUS AS TO HOW THE CG AND ANIMATION WILL PLAY OUT TOGETHER. NOT A HALO PLAYER, ..
