Found a Transformers fan-project on YouTube: fans have used footage of the original G1 animated series to create new ones that continue after the final episode of the original series, the three-parted 'Rebirth'.

I'm really glad this was made. It has the same atmosphere as the real episodes. It does justice to the original characters and they try to remain within the continuity.

Best of all: they brought back the characters that deceased during the movie and they found a way to avoid killing off Optimus Prime!!!

Been a while since I was enthusiastic about a reincarantion of an eighties cartoon, but I certainly am now!
