"SKYWINGS: EXODUS is...set on Earth in the near future. The story revolves around Skyland's launch but is also the catalyst and backstory of our main character Jason Evans.

Jason (8) and his father Lt. Evans are making their way through a military checkpoint prior to getting on SKYLAND. They struggle to make their way through a sea of people hoping to try and get on too. But soldiers stand guard against the mass of people. Suddenly, just as Jason and his dad are about to cross the checkpoint, an alien attack unfolds, forcing Skyland to launch early.

Lt. Evans, a Skywings pilot, gets into a Skywing mech to protect his son, ultimately sacrificing his own life so his son can survive. Jason is left behind, with the rest of mankind, left to fend for himself in this new world order."

Sounds interesting with some pretty cool designs. I just believe that there's yet ANOTHER Robotech type movie being made when the real Robotech LAM is nowhere to be seen.

Big ship about to leave earth when an alien invasion hits...Mentor character dies so that the hero can fill his shoes...what's Robotech about all that...?

Unfortunately it's not a real movie, just a proposal by someone whose a film student at USC. No studio is attached to this project.
