Bryan Singer’s decade-long goal of making a ‘Battlestar Galactica’ feature film is finally coming to fruition, as Universal Pictures is closing a deal to bring the epic franchise to the big screen.
It’s time to fire up the Galactica one more time, as Bryan Singer is closing a deal with Universal Pictures to bring Glen A. Larson’s sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica to the big screen – something that Singer has been trying to accomplish for the past 10 years.
Penning Battlestar Galactica’s feature film-debut is screenwriter John Orloff, who previously wrote the Angelina Jolie wartime thriller A Mighty Heart; the animated owl movie Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole; and two episodes of HBO’s Band of Brothers. More recently, Orloff wrote the upcoming Roland Emmerich film, Anonymous.
