This reminds me of the classic Atragon movie.

The fact it has a useless female singer better suited to playing a drug addicted prostitute(she wouldn't have to act at all) will mean this movie is bound to become victim of the classic board gaming quote, 'You sunk my battleship'

LMAO! I have to agree on that.. When I saw the trailer the very moment I saw Rihanna the movie lost all credibility for me. Started looking like a B movie... started looking out for Lorenzo Lames or Tiffany.

Then the more I looked into the movie the more and more I started to think "Liam Neeson should have waited to audition for Robotech instead of this."

It's looking and sounding more and more like a big budget ($200 Million Dollar) B-movie..

Ok.. based on what little we know (Thank you wiki, imdb, and the Battleship website) Aliens in the ocean get into a scrap with the US Navy...... and the Navy use BATTLESHIPS to save the world?!?! Are you Serious!?

Now there are some other things that I didn't mention that are on the net, but didn't want people screaming "spoilers". Although I find it interesting what the alien race is called... (Possible Robotech knod???)

Anyway...

So I'm suppose to believe that an alien race comes to Earth... sets up shop in the ocean... and we beat them back with and obsolete class of war ships that have been decommissioned for nearly 20 years???


Come on!!!

They've got a much more logical agenda planned that happens to come into conflict with us. Then there's a chance for two relatively equal opponents to go at each other and you get a sense of some of the equipment you saw, the level and intelligence of that character of what modern sailors are today.
