Trailer Debut: Resident Evil Afterlife Brings the 3D Zombie Apocalypse

No sooner after they showed the trailer for the masses at WonderCon, Sony has now released the official version of the trailer online. It certainly looks like director Paul W.S. Anderson designed the movie around the 3D elements, many of which you can seen in the trailer — the plane coming at you, bullets, flying debris, etc. Hopefully these moments will fit into the movie and not come off as an obvious gimmick. But hey, at least it can’t be any worst than the 3D conversion massacre that was “Clash of the Titans”, right?

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Milla Jovovich) continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive, the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.


Starring Milla Jovovich, Wentworth Miller, Ali Larter, Kim Coate, Kacey Barnfield, Shawn Roberts, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Norman Yeung, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

The 3D zombie mayhem begins September 10, 2010.

I GUESS THERE IS A RE IMAGINED OR EARLIER VERSION OF EXECUTIONER MAJINI FROM RESIDENT EVIL 5 GAME.

Not sure how I feel about this whole thing yet... the third film was okay, nothing great but still entertaining nonetheless. However, I feel that this franchise has been done to death and this 4th movie isn't going to do any better than the 3rd film.

I'm also kind of annoyed at the sudden popularity of 3D
I mean every movie that has come out has been in 3D format
and maybe I'm just a bitter little girl, stuck living in the 90s, but I've never seen what the craze over 3D was all about.

anyways going to have to pass on this one, might rent the DVD via netflix or something but thats it.

ME AND MY KIDS ARE INTO THE GAMES. AND EVEN THE MOVIES. WILL SEE HOW THE TRAILERS COMES OUT. JUST HOPE IT'S MORE THAN WHAT NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. HAD TO OFFER.

yeah I heard the nightmare on elm street remake was total shit... was not surprised in the least.
There is only one Freddy, and that is Englund.

WHOEVER THE ACTOR WAS... HE DID NOT CAPTURE THE AUDIENCE. HE WAS NOT FUNNY AT ALL. HIS JOKES WERE DRY. AT LEAST IN THE ORIGINALS FREDDY TALK TO THE AUDIENCE.

IT WAS A GREAT STORY BUT THE ACTOR KILLED IT.

AND YES, WE DID NOT STAY FOR THE ENDING. WE LEFT RIGHT AFTER FREDDY WAS PULLED FROM DREAMLAND. WE LIKED THE FINAL FANTASY TRAILER. FANS OF RESIDENT EVIL WERE SHOUTING THROUGH IT.

IT BETTER MAKE UP FOR FREDDY.
