I think being a fan of Macross and New Gen most of my life and I always liked Southern Cross. Now re-watching Robotech Masters again recently I am finding it is the most complex character wise of the 3 saga's. There is more at stake overall too and it ends so tragic.

I agree about the ending. The others have a somewhat happy ending whereas the Masters Saga everyone gets screwed. You fight to a phyric victory just to get over ran right away by a new enemy.
