Read once that of the three series edited into Robotech, the 'Masters' had been changed the most to fit in.

What was the original series called again, I think it was Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross?

Many people seem to know the original Macross series and Mospeada seems to be known as well. Does anyone know anything about Çavalry? For instance, I heard it took place not on Earth, but on another planet?

The reason I ask: had the original serie conscription, because of a serious threath of war? It would explain why so many characters act like teenagers instead of soldiers, and why certain characters were in the army at all.

I've sometimes wondered what the original was about, but decided not to torture myself with watching it.

Yeah but what was the plot of the original, unedited Southern Cross? It wasn't Earth, the planet had two moons (though that transitionary scene was cut from Robotech of course, since in Robotech it is Earth).
