Anyone remember if it was a big deal having Lancer be a cross-dressing character back in the 80s? I think there was more controversy with Roy & Claudia.

it more plot device. Lancer in the series never struggled with homosexaity or gender identity. once his cover no long needed he give it up and stop cross dressing.
