Due to the legal issues blocking me from getting Macross series in english, were there ever any official Spanish releases of DYRL or any of the new series,( Macross II and Plus not included)?

Official, no, but long time ago in some latin anime cable chanell called Locomotion DYRL was aired in spanish (Spain) dub The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? (movie) scrool down 'til Spanish cast referece.
As for the new series like you said "Due to the legal issues" blocking us ( Latin America ) from getting Macross new series, the only thing I can do donwnhere is watch the Fansubbed versions.

Whether it is a Latin American or Spain dub does not matter to me. Half Cuban Half Puerto Rican but majority of my fam is in Spain and while my father was born in Cuba, all my uncles were born in Spain. Since pops was the younger, he still got a traditional formal Spaniard education. Passed down so either version doesn't matter to me.
