because it's just plain creepy that a bunch of mothers are obsessed with a series aimed at teenage girls, not to mention said franchise is a cancer and its fans are batshit insane.

They created a religion based on it called "Cullenism", where they read the books like bibles, and there's been a lot of dangerous attacks involving twilight fans, in which they assaulted someone for saying they didn't like the series.

girls are dumping their boyfriends left and right because they arent OMG perfect like the fictional character Edward Cullen.

For the most part I ignore shit I don't like but finding out that moms were into the series was just icing to the cake of failure.

My wife likes the series and I am a big fan of a TV show aimed at kids. (Robotech and others). I will say that the religious stuff is a little over the top no worse than Goreans (both my wife and I are part of this group). Yes the assaulting is too much. Just getting this upset about the series seems a little silly to me.
