I listen to a wide range of Music. Anywhere from Glenn Miller to Kansas.... From The Eagles to The Rolling Stones.... From Ozzy Osbourne to Rachmaninoff. (Yes, I said RACHMANINOFF! Rhapsody on a Theme From Paganini is very Calming to me and I play it when I write most of the time).... Hard Rock to classic rock to Light rock..... Air Supply to ZZ top.... LOL...

EXCEPT.... RAP....

wow that's quite a variety you listen to, I like a lot of the same genres, especially the music I grew up with.
I'm even not ashamed to admit I still have some pop songs from the 90s/early 2000 yes I liked those boy bands and still listen to the songs every now and then. I also have some movie soundtracks, and a castlevania game soundtrack.
I have the robotech soundtrack but hell I can't find it anywhere =( and with my luck it's probably in a box from when I moved here.

Old school Goth, Industrial, and 80's Synth Pop here.

I'll listen to a lot of different types of music. I'll almost never listen to Country though. Everything else I'll give a chance, but it's rare for me to find newer rap, metal, or techno that I like. I'm more into rock, pop, and swing/big band. I like really good voices and very interesting music. I also like very stupid music. Serious songs that are just ridiculous. Or cartoon theme songs. I also like some Japanese and Chinese music.
