Every once and awhile i'll toss some videogame or MIDI music into my mix. Sometimes when I need to escape i look for songs that sets my mind in that place where the world dosen't bother me. Usually when i'm trying to draw or write I look for things that don't have words or atleast not that are in front of the music such as the sound track from Last Of The Mohicans or even Legend of Zelda from the more recent games (N64 on up) I don't know why but they work for me lol.

Anyway i was surfing YouTube and came across this video some one did and it hit me with some major nostalgia LOL!

In honor of Black history month
I'd like to share with you, one of my
favorite artists of the early 20th century
The lovely and talented Josephine Baker
one of the first african american stars of that era who became a worldwide sensation and accomplished a lot.

I know there probably arent many who like this genre of music, but you never know unless you give it a try.
But I personally adore her voice.
and recommend her music to anyone who likes pretty songs.
Right now my personal favorites are "Pretty Little Baby", & "Afraid to Dream".

oooh i love all types of music. But just recently 80's has seemed to be coming back now...i guess it's the way to go now. but i love it. I love country, rock, punk, rock en espanol is good, orchestra, hip hop, R&B...all types that i dont know where to start ...heehee...all music is good.

For me, it'd be better to say what I don't like, my tastes running wide and varied...

I cannot stand Opera, Rap, R&B, Hip-hop, or any kind of new country.

Now, the stuff I've been concentrating on some old '80s stuff, centering on a band called 'The Damned'.

I've been trying to learn to playbass guitar, so anything with a good bass line is good for me, too... Good blues, rock, other stuff, that's all good.

At the moment i'm between Garth Brooks(sorry to you country haters LOL) and Olivia Newton
But yeah the 80's is where the music is lol!I've got more tracks from that decade then any other.

I watched a documentary on her about 6 months ago. Before that I didn't know much about her, but she was a very interesting person and has a very interesting history. She wasn't as famous in the US as she was in France, where she was treated much better. I like some older music, but I'm not well versed in it.
