I noticed you listed Stealth. There are a lot of anime fans who think it ripped off a lot from Macross. I've never seen it though.

It'll be interesting to see if Tobey Maguire will be Rick Hunter. I don't know if he has Rick's subtle cockiness. In all his roles he just seems to come off as too innocent and good-ol' boyish, if that's an adequate description .

They might be able to have the movie take place in the already established canon that way.

anything is possible. till we see post production and not "pre production" we wont really know where it all will end.

Yeah. At this point we really don't even know if the movie will ever be made.
