Atlantech Cover Art was created by LadyGrimes
Sighup is going to love this one lol
decided to start posting again just for him >_>
anyways I am currently working on two images at once (fancy that) which I'm going to present in the fashion of vintage magazine covers for the Atlantech art book project and for the ladies individual galleries which is part of the profile revamp I am working with on the website.
here are the current WIP's (Works in Progress)
Victoria
she's got more of a baby doll face here unlike her previous portraits. And yes I think Clara bow had something to do with it
Natoya
Her character is supposed to have a more exotic type face.
After all she is French and Russian (her and that purple wig, her natural color is black and you will see that in page 12 of the comic)
This one is pretty much complete, although I might do some more touch ups before it goes through the final stage.
and yes that sequin texture was hand painted by me, normally I use a brush I made eons ago but this time I decided to paint it myself.
speaking of which I plan on releasing some tutorials in the near future, and I will include my sequin texture as part of that. (and the dreaded fur texture too)

okay I've finished one of them so far
The idea was to emulate the look of an old magazine and I've done so by utilizing textures to create custom brushes and hand painting some of the scratches by scribbling with a 1px size brush.
I'm going to go even further with Victoria's cover, and make it look more thrashed almost like it was tossed in the trash because it will be a much older issue, reflecting the past when she was in the spotlight.
