Battlepod robot project was created by Szpectre

Working on a little something to bring to Comic Con (HOPEFULLY) this year. At this point, the legs are about 2/3 done. I need to add one more tier of servos, then the feet (which will house the batteries) and the legs will be completed. All the rest of the electronics will be housed in the body, and it will all be controlled by remote. I got the idea from the Project Biped website, but decided to make some adjustments to the computer side of it.

When finished, it will be able to walk in any direction I want it to, as well as be self balancing. Should be fine on flat surfaces.

Wow, that's pretty darn clever. Any videos? Or just pictures? Remote control?

Getting closer to completion. The wiring is rough, and I still need to tighten up all the loose bits, but its getting there. I dont know how many times I have changed the leg configuration now.

After burning out a few servos, and continually redesigning this thing for optimization/stabilization/efficiency, today the Battlepod took its first steps. However it is still far from finished.

Now I just need to find another arm cannon and the gun located on top.

Just added bluetooth controls to it, as well as a paint job, which is currently in progress. Now to add some fine details.

Tedcat checking it out.
