WELL THERE WAS THE INITIAL PROTOTYPE MADE WHERE WE COULD SEE AND GET A FEEL AND ADD CHANGES AND USING VARIOUS SOURCES FROM ANIMATION TO RPG AND OSM...

MANY IDEAS WERE ON THE TABLE ON WHAT TO USE FROM 3D PRINTING, MOLDING, VACUUM FORMING AND CNC MILL.

SINCE THE IDEA IS ALSO TO NOT JUST MAKE ROBOTECH PROPS BUT ALSO MANY OTHER SCIFI AND FANTASY WORKS AS WELL AS SHIPS AND OTHER MODELS WE WENT WITH MAKING OUR OWN CNC MILL WHICH WE SETTLED ON A JOES CNCJoe's CNC 4x4 Evolution 1.0 WHICH WE MODIFIED TO HANDLE BIGGER PROJECTS OUTSIDE OF ROBOTECH WITH EVEN A BIGGER SIZE.. 5X8

SOME ROUGH CUT TESTING

FROM THE CUTS WE LEARNED THAT THE PROGRAM HAD TO BE MODIFIED AS WELL. SO WHILE WE WAITING ON A GOOD ROUTER AND SOME LITTLE THINGS HERE AND THERE THE GUYS DECIDED TO TWEAK DOWN AND TIGHTEN THE DESIGN THANKS TO AN OPEN SOURCE 3D PROGRAM CALLED BLENDER www.blender.org/

RIGHT NOW WE LOOKING INTO LONG BEACH COMIC CON FOR DISPLAYING OUR WORKS. THOUGHT ITS ONLY ABOUT 60 DAYS AWAY THERE STILL A FEW THINGS TO DO. AND POSSIBLY FULL COSPLAY ARMOR BY WONDERCON 2014 AND MAYBE AN OPEN HOUSE IN BETWEEN FOR FANS TO LOOK INSIDE PROTOTECH PROPS AND COSTUMES.

PROTOTECH PROPS UPDATE:


The Minionator rises and finally gets to work!

Intial version of the Gallant H90. The hand grip and trigger is absent so we can try multiple variations without spending the 7 hours to cut a whole gun. Its going to be a solid cast when it's done with only the trigger and on/off switch moving. Debating on whether or not to make the clip removable.

There are two more versions in the works: a true to line art and a slicked out high detail one.

Wolff's pistol is coming up as soon as we get our hands on the finished model. It will be a high detail model as the line art is terrible.

CVR armor is a work in progress. Waiting a a high detail model.
