Robotech Valkyrie Project comes to a halt. Receives a C&D from Harmony Gold.

Por sorpresa nos llego esta mañana un C&D (cese y desista) (cease and desist) por los derechos de Robotech que es propiedad de Harmony Gold y tendremos que dar de baja todos los links del proyecto, incluida esta pagina. Estamos viendo los detalles del aviso y trataremos de llegar a un acuerdo y terminar el 3er episodio. Todo el equipo del proyecto nos sentimos muy orgullosos de haber realizado esto, y destacar el apoyo de Harmony Gold. Lamentamos profundamente no poder temrinarlo en este momento, pero los mantedremos informados a traves de los diferentes fan sites. QUEREMOS AGRADECERLES TODO EL APOYO QUE NOS DIERON.

I just saw the news today the Valkyrie project stopped. Sad.

Fan Films haven't been threatening in the past, but all of that is changing. I think the Valkyrie project was doing some pretty amazing shit that encroached on professional grade work. HG could respond in two ways: Reject or Embrace.

I'm scratching my head why HG and others don't go with the flow and partner with their fans. It's not like the Valkyrie Project was stealing revenue from HG. Should the RLAM ever come out, it would have been a great promotional opportunity to get the Valkyrie Project team to partner with HG and WB in some way. But now they are alienated.

I'm sure it's more complicated than that but would love to be enlightened so I see all sides.

I have been banned from Robotech.COM for calling HG "scum" for serving a C&D on Caesar. They bully fans and continue to disappoint fans. So I guess I should have not called HG a derogatory name but the fact they have gave me no chance to apologize or recant the statement shows what a fascist regime like HG would do. I wish HG didn't own Robotech. They keeping squeezing money out of us with a new box set and sub par releases like RLLA and Shadow Chronicles. What Caesar put together was better than anything the creative team HG has done. I will never buy anything Robotech from this point on until HG sells their rights. I will continue to buy Macross stuff and I look forward to the new Japanese box set in May for Macross Frontier.
