Because some colors are very difficult to find or create with paint for model kit, i find my colors in classic paint shop (there is a lot of choice). It's a classic oil paint (for home use) for the purple of jack baker and for this blue.Looks great. For your paints, do you use the acrylics, or enamels?
I've found that the enamels are much more sturdy in transforming toys than acrylics. When satisfied, all you need do is seal it with your Matte or Gloss finish.
However, acrylics or enamels, it's always dangerous for paint when transforming a custom so i use always a "varnish sealer" (i don't know if it's the good word, it's a varnish hard as glass)
Also, for your weathering, Tamiya has a weathering master set that really gives pieces the look of being used.
i have "Tamiya weathering master" sets but currently i am not very good with that, but i try to make my best
Great work so far, can't wait to see the finished product. Robotech fans that customize stuff seems to be a rarity, so seeing this done is pretty cool. Thanks for putting it up.
Thank you, yes, customs Robotech are very rare and i don't know why...

Some really nice work you're doing there. Looks like you have a good handle on a lot of different techniques. You should visit the "Robotech: Modeler's Resource center". You can check out some tips posted by myself and others as well as post some new tips of your own. You'd be suprised what you can pick up and you're tips could greatly help someone else out.
