Atlantech: "Royal Flush" was created by LadyGrimes
A recently completed painting of mine that I had been fiddling with for about a month.
"Royal Flush"
Featuring the devious young soldier and gambler;
Justin Church.

Poker seems to be a running theme when it comes to the Atlantech universe, but I like to reflect the culture and the character's personality.
Also if you're wondering what the significance of the number seven is, well it happens to be his lucky number, hes even got it painted on the side of his AF jet.
This is my proposed illustration for his bio in the book project.
I do have another concept in mind which involves a slot machine, but that could end up as part of the main book cover.
Also for those of you interested I recently completed chapter 18
of the story as well.

Ah *puts on sunglasses* that version comes out looking very bright and washed out on my laptop
My cintiq is connected to my LCD monitor and so the contrast levels look a lot different, and are actually darker.
But whenever I transfer the finished results to my laptop, it always turns out looking lighter... this is why I end up having to adjust the levels of the comic panels because they also end up looking too damn light.
For paintings such as this, I try not to do that so the detail isn't lost, I hope I'm making sense and not doing my usual rambling =P
