Ok, we are planning on making commemorative, collectible coins for the launch day celebrations. I'm going to post the draft designs that I have worked up. Feel free to give input. In fact, you are highly encouraged to post your ideas here! This first one is the front of the basic design. It has the SDF-1 on the front and the RDF symbol on the back.

Now for something completely different... I love the idea of a cutout coin, with everything but the image cut away for a see through effect. The only problem is that it doesn't work with the SDF-1 in cruiser mode. Here it is in attack mode. I know that this is not how it looked when it launched, but the effect is a very nice coin. Let me know what you think. Here is the front...

Really digging the battle SDF-1. I'm with you thought about it not being that on launch day. But it looks really good.

Thanks for the kind words guys. And MEMO, of course I take requests! That's what this thread is all about. If you have a non-SDF request, I'd love to hear that too!

Still, in all seriousness. I think we should make a decision on this by no later than Monday. In order to make absolutely sure these are done in time for the celebration, we should give the coin company as much time as possible. Sending the design in on Monday will give the company 30 days to work on the coin, and 15 days for shipping. Hopefully it will go a bit faster than that, but we should plan for a worst case scenario.
