Anime Expo took out a promotional table at Santa Anita Race Irack for Toyko Cup Day, and gave out advertising posters, however the two people I spoke to were not aware of any events for Robotech.
Just found this interesting.

...why would that be surprising? Im guessing that the people you spoke two were either A: part of the marketing department, or B: Really high up on the ladder. In either case, not being from the programming department i'd doubt that they would be aware of the details of each and every panel (including industry ones) at AX.
