I was in a mood today so i figured i would write for a bit here LOL!

A few people here  already know that i'm trying to pick up drawing. My family seems to be filled with people who are really good at this stuff. My brother's art would make DC Comics drool, my sister is abit on the odd side but is into very stylized non-mainstream Manga.  My mother is an acutal professional artist and does realism.

 I took art in school and did well but while my work was detailed i seemd to come up short in my overall attempts. (although i was the only student in my schools history to turn in an Etch-a-sketch Mini with a landscape, I got an A for it too... not sure how i did it though LOL!)  Didn't really get much support from anyone so i gave up on ever getting better.

 A few weeks ago my fionce and i were talking on the phone and something was mentioned about drawing. I had recently rediscoverd my old art class porfolio and it had all my work from high school. I took some pics and sent them to her on a whim(my HP Jet Scanner isn't compadible with windows Vista >:(   ) and she called me a liar. lol! To put an end to the topic (and to try and prov it to myself again!) I sketched two figures, one was an attempt at realism and one was anime style. It was the first time anyone ever told me that i did have some talent and should give drawing a go. Well I've been practicing ever chance I get for the last few weeks and I think i am actually improveing. I hope to continue to get better, there are some very talented people on this site and I'm really happy to ask questions and get feed back from them!

If I improve or not one thing remains the same. I will always be impressed with the Gift to Create. When I watch an artist take a blank page/scree/ or whatever their medium is, and start to create a world/image it's the most amazing thing in the world to me. Out of nothing you have created something. That is an amazing thing.

So to everyone here when you are building the new Magazine or creating new stories, think about how lucky you are to be able to do these things! :D

Here are a few things I thought may be good enough to show, sorry for the odd color as i didn't want to use flash. One was from Bleach and i looked at an image to see if i could reproduce it so it's not a character i created. The other two are though :)
