In the hopes of landing a role as a veritech pilot in the pre-production Robotech Live-Action Film, Tana Sarnt produces his very own fanfilm titled "Midnight Sky."
SYNOPSIS: This is a story told by an anonymous Veritech fighter pilot recalling two memories: his first encounter with Miriya, the Zentradi ace pilot, and his first date with a loved one on Earth. As with our own memories, the story is fragmented, and the line between dream and reality is blurred.
Original Robotech Live Action Fanfilm: "Midnight Sky" Length: 5 min 56 sec
In the hopes of landing a role as a veritech pilot in the pre-production Robotech Live-Action Film, Tana Sarnt produces his very own fan film titled "Midnight Sky." This is the second actor that has produced a fan film with the Live-Action Film in sights. Recall that in 2008 Steve Wesse produced his very own re-creation of the Max vs. Miriya knife fight scene from the Macross Saga.
Naturally for a fanfilm of this sort, budgets are extremely small but Tana Sarnt makes creative use of every resource he had available.
One of the "dating" scenes in Midnight Sky.
The darkly-lit nature combined with the "fragmented" story telling between dream and reality creates a good dramatic setting. Originally this was supposed to be a full featured Robotech fan film. The project however fell apart and the end result was this fan film.
Tana Sarnt is an actor from New York City who is also an original 85er.
