Now, THAT, is a piece of work/art!!! I have a friend of mine who customizes toys and I know that it takes a lot of imagination to come up with this stuff. Very nice, Mark!!!

Thank you. Well I tried to make it as accurate as possible. There are a few minor changes to him though. I used every possible picture I could find as reference sources. I used screen captures, comics, Robotech Art 1, and even the old Robotech trading cards from the 80’s.

Wow thank you very much. I guess I never thought of him as a piece of art. I’m sure your friend has some pretty cool customs. Yeah it’s a lot of work when you start cutting something up and changing it from what it originally was. But in the end… if all goes well… it’s worth it.

Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I’ve been sharing all of your responses with my fiancée who, as I said in the “My Custom Breetai figure” thread, helped out with the sowing. She wanted to say thank you for all of your kind words and that she had fun working on it too.

Would you possibly consider doing his Sentenels/ Shadow Chronicles appearance?

You mean like a commission piece?

Well during my work on this Breetai I thought about making a version of him with the Sentinels uniform and helmet. I decided instead to go with the classic look. I think If I did do a Sentinels version of him that I would opt to go with a smaller figure, maybe not as small as a standard G.I. Joe… but smaller then this figure. I could possibly see using a Sigma 6 or DC/ Marvel figure… perhaps even a 12 inch figure.

A 12" would look really nice. I wasnt thinking commission though. I would if I had more rt figure but I only have mecha.

Nice collection there BlackConvoy.

I’ve got a couple new items for my collection too. While at MechaCon last weekend I attended the Robotech Panels and during the Q & A segment was able to ask a couple questions… and I was rewarded with…..

Lancer's MPC ALPHA!

And... A Megahouse Mosepeada STICK type.

And I got My 2 disc Collector's Edition version of the Shadow Chronicles signed by Tommy Yune.

Also I got 3 of my Robotech Remastered DVDs signed by the voice actors....

I also got to take some pictures with the cast members and they were genuinely friendly. It was cool seeing Tony Oliver just kicked back joking with fans. I also got a chance to talk with Richard Epcar at length about his band and his love for the drums. Dan Woren was a great guy who was very genuine and hey... he's Fricken ROY F'in FOKKER! What more do you gotta say!.
