I have never read any of the Robotech novels. I read through the story synopsis of the Sentinels in the Robotech ART 3 book but would like more details. I tried to read the comics but unless they collect them in trades I probably never will(and they never will).
Something in me though wants to know the full story of The Sentinels. I was so bummed when as a young teen I got the VHS and found out it was never finished.
Anyone read the just the Sentinel books and feel somewhat satisfied?

It's worth reading. Some ideas & directions are interesting, some not as much.
End of the Circle seemed to suffer from disagreements among the authors. It would be interesting to see what the alternative version looked like.

I am at the tail end of book 5 of the Jack McKinney Sentinels.
This so far was a much better story than all of the Shadow Chronicles related stuff including the movie. Maybe HG should have had James Luceno take a stab at the Shadow Chronicles before they green lit that thing.

I guess it has more to do with the fact that the first half of the Sentinels is not a retread like the 1st half of SC is. Right from the start we are going new places and not retreading stuff we all saw.
