I know the movie came out a while ago. And when I got the DVD and soundtrack, I was disappointed that I didn't find CHase Masterson's renditions of the 3 songs; "it's you", "we will win", "to be in love". And I tried to find them in hopes she may have recorded them on other cds. But nothing.

I just watched the Shadow Chronicals again. And I wondered if they were every released. I did a quick search on these forum, but was not able to find any reference to the songs she sang.

So, I'm formally posting the question, did they ever release a soundtrach of Robotech that had the three songs Chase Masterson sung on Shadow Chronicals?

To my knowledge these tracks were never released (and in my opinion it's a good thing - no offense to Chase Masterson as she was great in DS9 and is really friendly in person). Still, maybe it'll be released on the currently in production (or is it in development) 25th (or will it be the 27th) Anniversary Soundtrack.

I know there are big fans of Robotech. I'm one of them. I loved the whole mechs, space fleets, war, space opera, theme that the series depicted. And from the brief scan of posts, people have issues with the storyline and animation of Robotech Shadow Chronticles. But even though the songs are girly, because I grew up with the series, they always had an affect on me. So, I'm always waiting for the songs to be re-released by someone new. And I really like the bit i heard by Chase Masterson.

The original songs and the original singer, will always remind me of Minmei. And I'd rather not here them again.

I hav to admit, even though I'm a big fan, I've lost touch og the series. The last release/series/extension/evolution/development I know about is the single/movie DVD release Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles that was released 2006. That was the last, correct? I didn't miss a limited series, another movie after that, have I?

I MEAN SHE IS A GREAT SINGER AND HAS HER OWN SONGS OUT THERE. BUT SHE NEVER SANG. WHY THERE ARE NO SOUNDTRACKS OUT THERE WITH HER VOICE SINGING ROBOTECH.


IF THEY GIVE HER THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACTUALLY SING THEN MAYBE.

I DID NOT BUY THE SOUNDTRACK. KEPT PUTTING IT OFF TILL I FORGOT ABOUT IT.

The topic was brought up at Mechacon last year and as I recall, at the time, they were not aware if the tracks Chase Masterson sang were full versions or simply parts of the songs. That they had not yet been released on CD and that they were going to explore the idea of putting them on the next anniversary sound track IF they were complete tracks.

According to the Shadow Chronicle CD track list, Her songs are not on the CD.

S.O.P Even if in part/incomplete, artists will be credited with the song on productions. This is in line with the Music Industry's system or recognising and validating Royalties. If Scott Bernard sang a line or two of We Will Win, the last line of creditation would be listed as such "Performed by Chase Masterson and Greg Snegoff" even if it wasn't a duet.

I never saw the benefit of having Chase sing those songs, she isn't a generic pop singer. If they had caberet/jazz then she would have been perfect.

I thought Chase was terrible at singing those songs

just not my cup of tea
