The can has always been in the same spot for almost three years, NOW it's a problem?

Well I finally got part of my inheritance, ups sent it to an auto store.
I have to set up an estate balance with the bank.
Then on Wednesday talk a 3 way phone talk with my dad's friend and a lawyer probono.
To get the other half,it was supposed to be for my brother but dad cut him off.
