Well.
Looks like I decided to join one more Robotech forum.
My story is so messed up that it has to be true: a fan of anime for over a decade, who decided to watch Robotech on Space on a whim one cold January day, not out of any ironic postmodern anger, but simple curiosity. After all, I'd never seen it, though knew its nature.
What happened was something entirely unexpected: I got into it, and so began a very twisted, complicated relationship, of betraying old roots and setting up new ones.
Basically, I am a freako for the Zentraedi, for a lot of reasons which all make sense to me. You know that Exedore is my favourite, and I tend also to prize him, Breetai, and the spy trio above any and all else, though I know that's not how things were *supposed* to go.
This means that I subsequently explored both Robotech AND Macross, and not always liked what I've found in both areas. I consider myself an informed fan of both franchises, sometimes at the expense of my better judgment, though I avoid the modern incarnations of Robotech and all the conflicts whenever I can.
I'm a library sciences student, aspiring fiction author (I will get those novels finished one of these days, dammit), who is trying hard to hone her critical skills while being a total animation nerd.
