EDIT: I find it odd that, although they mention Minmay, the Macross single whose cover they show doesn't have Minmay vocals on it at all.

Oh, and "Live at Pit Inn" is GREAT, if you haven't heard it.

A couple of corrections here... Macross was cut down from 39 episodes to 26 before broadcast. After broadcast, it was extended to 36 episodes (a move I still find unprecedented...at least, I haven't come across any other shows that's happened to).

Also, Kawamori worked on neither Orguss nor Megazone.

(As a parenthetical note, while the notion that Macross "eclipsed" the success of Gundam seems odd now, at the time, it was true. It wasn't until the mid-to-late eighties that Gundam completely overtook Macross.)

EDIT: Oh, and Orguss was 35 episodes, not 36.
