Regarding the first question, this is basically the underlying reason why I prefer Robotech to Macross. Somehow in japanese on the background with subtitles all what is going on does not look serious to me in Macross. It is perhaps part of the culture or anime stereotype, but also in japanese version the characters like to cry or shout when in stress situation. For european mentality it does not look very natural.

Stage flight is better, but notoriously in original macross sdf there are more different songs. If watch several episide of RT per day stage flight gets annoying. I guess this is why you posed this question.

Funny you mention this because its just the opposite for me. Which is why I　prefer Macross to Robotech. English dubs of anime just do not seem natural. If you're used to Japanese culture and anime you'll find that dubs don't seem natural. Which is why I can't stand most dubs and prefer subs.

As far as which one is worse, they're both pretty bad. But at the same time they're both pretty epic.

How about who is better at singing? Minmei or Exedore? XD

Enh, I still like the Mospeada songs better than the New Gen songs. Not that Michael Bradley is bad or anything (he isn't; in fact, i think his stuff is quite good), but I like the girl's voice who sings for Yellow in the original version.

And, as you say, "Motorcycle Freak" is awesome, as is "Love spits in cosmic waves" (ewww...).

Of course Macross music is better. RT's was just patched together quickly much like the show. The only track that is absolutely better than Macross is The Robotech Theme by the late Ulpio Minucci.

Other than that no comparison to Mari. I'm not a big Michael Bradley fan, maybe We WIll Win, but that's it.
