Hmm...is that better or worse than the reviews for Shadow Rising...?Yeah I've known it for awhile, I'm sure it's more or less as mediocre as the first movie, perhaps even worse.

Oh...it was you...Gubaba and MaverickLSC, please continue MacF movies discussion here, I'm just trying to maintain the place in order, hope don't bother you guys.
I thought Mav just deleted my posts because he couldn't handle the AWESOME TRUTH...
But either way...he ran away when the going got tough.
Which, of course, is Mav's usual way. I don't begrudge him his cowardice.

Yeah was me but I didn't delete anything, just moved a few posts.
No problem, Gubbaba and I were just having a friendly jab at one another for our respecting franchises.

We'll know soon enough my friend, i'm sure both Shadow Rising and Robotech:LLA will raise the bar again in both the animation and CG department.

I AM, just not of anything with Space Whales and Sniper mechs.
Plus, the Varja designs look as if they were constipated warthogs from madagascar.
Macross Plus was awesome, I own both the Manga Entertainment VHS tapes of Macross Plus and the Macross Plus The collection DVDs. I also have the Animego SDF Macross DVDs, Macross II: The movie VHS(My favorite and the pinnacle of Macross) and Macross DYRL VHS. I have dubbed bootlegs of both Macross 7, Dynamite, Encore, Macross Zero and Macross Frontier which I did enjoy some aspects but obviously Kawamori sometimes gets too carried away with his fantastical ideas. The should of started with Macross II and followed that timeline, obviously the Macross franchise suffered with Macross 7 and Zero. Macross Plus and Macross Frontier were definite improvements but Shoji Kawamori really needs to pass this on to younger, more inspiring people whose willing broaden into new directions.
A japanese version of the young JJ Abramms would help the Macross property tremendously.
Yes i'm a Macross fan, but Robotech to me is still my favorite by far. Sorry, but i'm entitled to my opinion and so are you. As JT said before, we have to agree that we disagree.

Nope, I had to pick up my son from daycare and take care of him when he's home with me, my life is not chained to the computer and internet 24/7 like the some of the typical otakus I know.

...and in that same time, we've had a Macross TV series, two two-hour movies, two separate magazines, lots of comics, story CDs, music CDs, an OVA...

1) How do Macross Frontier Movies: The False Diva & The Wings of Goodbye relate to the official Macross continuity? Do MF movies shared the same status as DYRL as story-within-story or something else altogether?

No one knows.Gubaba, just a quick question:
