Oh yeah finally found this. I've been meaning to update how the process works.

It is not just simply purchasing the bottle, you have to register the bottle number on the Dawn website. Then the donation will take place.

The commercial makes it seem as if you just purchase the bottle, then donation automatically occurs. Which is not the case. But still nice cause.

Each dollar donated through Dawn Saves Wildlife goes toward wildlife conservation efforts. What organizations are receiving funds?

For each bottle you purchase—and then activate it online using the bottle donation code—one dollar* is donated to our wildlife conservation partners. Fifty percent of each dollar is donated to the International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC) and fifty percent is donated to the Marine Mammal Center (MMC). Both organizations hold longstanding commitments to the preservation and improvement of animals and their natural habitats.

What are the program dates?
In the United States, the Dawn Saves Wildlife program is accepting valid bottle donation code submissions beginning July 1, 2009 through October 1, 2009.

*Up to $500,000. Must activate donation online.

It might be old, but the commercials are now airing all over Southern California now.

Sucks that they don't just automatically donate it though.
