The online records of works registered and documents recorded by the U.S. Copyright Office since January 1, 1978.Source?
cocatalog.loc.gov/
search for "robotech" then resort results by date(descending)
I get that HG had to assign the title "Robotech" over to WB in order for them to release a movie with the title, but this look like HG gave them the rights to virtually everything Robotech related they own. I'm definitely not a lawyer though and may be reading it all wrong.

I think you summed it up much better than I did, guess I should have said "shared rights".I'm no lawyer either, but I think it's stating that they both own the copyright. This would lend credence to the idea that WB put the hold on SR. As I would assume both copyright holders would have to agree on any new works that come out.

NOT EXACTLY.
LOOK AT THE NOTES.
A)Notes: Assignment.
B)Notes: Add. ti.: Robotech. Option agreement.
THIS IS COMMON ON IP RIGHTS A WRITER/FILMAKER CAN USE TO MAKE AND WRITE A MOVIE.
IT'S HG GIVING THE OK TO USE WHATEVER THEY HAVE UNDER THE ROBOTECH BANNER PERTAIN TO THAT LIST.
AND AS RTSURFER FOUND... IT SHOWS WHAT WB CAN USE AT THEIR DISPOSAL FOR THE WB ROBOTECH PRODUCT.
NEED TO GOOGLE OPTION AGREEMENTS FOR IP RIGHTS.

HG DID SAY WB CAN USE WHATEVER THEY WANT UNDER THE ROBOTECH NAME.
THIS LOOKS LIKE PROOF OF IT.
IS THERE A WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT THE NOTES SAY? I MEAN OPTIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS?

You can request hard copies of the documents for a fee, haven't checked to see how expensive or what is included. Lawyers for HG and WB may be the only ones who know the details.IS THERE A WAY TO FIND OUT WHAT THE NOTES SAY? I MEAN OPTIONS AND ASSIGNMENTS?

Also, no toy names are listed, like MPC alpha, etc.

When I first read the list I noticed that but figured the List1 - "006 Sentinels" and List2 - "007 Robotech comics" must have been intended to cover them. While the novels and WS comics are listed out, the rpgs are also pretty vague and simply listed as 009 & 008 "Robotech role playing games". Even if my assumption is correct, still leaves the question of why some aspects were listed out and other generalized as categories. What does it mean that the sentinels comic series (and sub-series, ie: Invid War, etc) is not included in this list?
Also, no toy names are listed, like MPC alpha, etc.
It seems to pertain only to media. I wonder why toys aren't included, unless they are covered by the copyrights for the series itself.
RT3K is included in that list
