One does not get excited about a Ridley Scott movie, for instance, and then learn that he has willingly removed himself as the director yet continue to maintain the same level of excitement. Or, if Clint Eastwood's prowess made someone interested in seeing an upcoming film, yet he was fired from the job, one could not in any way reasonably presume that the film would be the same.

In short, though, with this you are confirming the basic point which needs to be made: The premise and announcement of the staff for the Robotech live-action movie excited fans in the beginning, but is unusually prone to being changed as time passes. Thus, if people following the pre-production are truly open-minded, they will have to change their own predictions for the film's quality, as well. To pretend that, because these alterations are "natural" for Hollywood, the postulations of 'something great' initiated upon the premier announcement are still valid would be fanboyism-induced stupidity at full-burn.NOT REALLY. SPECULATION...WAS THAT HE MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN INVOLVED WITH BATMAN AS WELL...AFTER #2...AS WELL AS TOBEY WITH SPIDERMAN...ALL IS COMPLETELY NOT BECOUSE OF ROBOTECH. JUST THAT YOU HAVE TWO PROVEN HUGE MONEYMAKING MOVIES KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR ITS HARD TO PASS UP.
