not bad at all, you're learning!

Hmm, so it's been a few years since my original sketches were uploaded. The uniform I put up was intended to be turned into an actual uniform. Since then I've not done this. Lots have happened such as unemployment (aviation industry is garbage right now) as well as going back to school. So now today I'm finally moving forward on this project!

My mother was a seamstress and I will be learning from her how these things go together. My plan is to make a uniform from my sketches (I've done some newer ones now) in a realistic "how would the military do it if this were real?" sort of way. I'm looking at different materials for the various parts, I've pulled out my own US Navy uniforms to see the materials used as some of them are what I want. (no i'm not gonna cut up my Cracker Jacks lol! Though I'll never fit in them again....)

So far we have taken measurements and have purchased cheap fabric to do an initial "how it goes together" sort of run. I'll put up pictures when we get these going.

I plan if possible to do one that fits me as well as producing a Female officer version (I want to be able to do both) for Robotech. I'm also thinking that if this is successful I may go ahead and do uniforms and such from other films like Star Wars.

I know there are places that make these already but making them yourself as anyone here who goes to Con's knows is much more fun. Besides some of the for sale items I see are terrible quality in material and craftsmanship. I'll post anything I get done here as I get them done.

I'll upload the newer uniform sketches as soon as I retrain myself on how to get them up here lol!
