Alder's a bit angry. Understatement of the year!

Definitely, I was hoping it would come off as the "far too guarded" kind of anger with a dash of inferiority complex. She can't seem to rely on anyone else and also she has had so much take from her, so much force exerted on her, that she feels compelled to exert it back.

Oh, yeah, I can see that. She's had so much thrown at her, she's wanting to throw some back.

I took a break for the holidays and a parental leave, but chapters eight and nine of my fan fiction are up. Give them a read if you like.

I was wondering when the next update was, now I've got more to read.

Yeah sorry for the delay. I also ended up writing 2 other chapters that will end up further down the line. I wanted one of them to be next but we're not ready yet.
